Reports to: Director of Mission Fulfillment        

Position Summary:  Works across all departments to develop systems that monitor, measure and evaluate the impact of The Night Ministry.

General Purpose:  To facilitate a process of learning by engaging staff, interns, volunteers and stakeholders in data that incorporates program outputs, client outcomes, program evaluation, research and other external data sources in order to improve programs and demonstrate the impact of TNM in a culture that celebrates successes and challenges and allows for opportunities for growth and change.

Role Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze and translate program outputs and outcomes (monitoring data) for funding reports, internal dashboards, and external communication.
  • Ability to use data to highlight program areas for improvement and to demonstrate agency impact.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of quantitative and qualitative survey methods to measure program impact.

General Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a coordinated approach to incorporate research and knowledge from the field and from agency data to better understand and communicate the impact of The Night Ministry.
  • Support departments in articulating their theories of change and maintaining alignment between their Impact Statement, Logic Model, and Dashboards as the departments evolve over time.
  • Expand and refine external data sources that can be leveraged to measure progress towards goals and external impact of work in the field.
  • Assist in tracking and reviewing data in the Agency Dashboard which includes: program outputs, agency outcomes, participant/client feedback and costs for services.
  • Facilitate the review of benchmarks and metrics for all departments of The Night Ministry through quarterly Department Dashboard Review Meetings.
  • Track progress toward achieving goals and record learnings and improvement plans.
  • Through dashboard reviews, participate in identifying delays/ difficulties and challenges in meeting goals and timelines.
  • Support formal approaches to evaluation to include client surveys, data analysis, staff and stakeholder feedback.
  • Oversee the implementation of client/resident/participant survey.
  • Review and refine the content and the process currently in place for getting feedback from client/resident/participant surveys.
  • Work with Director of Mission Fulfillment and program staff to identify creative engagement strategies for program evaluation.
  • Work with the Data Manager to prepare Impact Evaluation reports to be shared internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the Mission Fulfillment and Development Teams to develop data visualization for internal and external use/audiences.
  • Keep up-to-date on best practices related to program evaluation and data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Statistics, or Social Science.
  • Minimum of three years of working with data that reports on client/patient outcomes and program reports.
  • Medium to advanced proficiency with Excel and Survey Monkey.
  • Experience producing and analyzing reports for multiple audiences, for example, program staff, funders, board members, community supporters.
  • Experience with Data Visualization and tools, e.g. Tableau.
  • Proven experience in working with diverse work groups and teams in order to generate and learn from data.
  • Experience with computer database systems.

  • Pro Active- always thinking of new ways to implement measurement and learning in order to improve services.
  • Flexible and Adaptable- Able to learn and understand multiple data bases while communicating externally and internally the indicators tracked on the data base. Able to work with different levels in the organization. Able to engage all staff, volunteers and interns in data gathering and data interpreting.
